Beyond Borders

Beyond Borders advances the rights of children to be free from abuse and exploitation without regard to race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Also, Beyond Borders does not have any religious or political affiliation. Our group is made up solely of volunteers who absorb all their own expenses with the exception of the expenses of our lawyers when they are intervening in court cases, which they often do pro bono

Save The Children (Canada)

The commercial sexual exploitation of children is a serious form of child abuse. In order to investigate and provide for victims of this form of abuse, Toronto police, social agencies and community groups are working together to identify current victims, support existing services, sustain current resources, mobilize new and needed resources while raising awareness to ensure that this form of abuse ends and that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.

National Abused Men and Boys Resources

Our mission is to assist men in finding male positive resources, information, and support. We seek to empower men to lead healthy, productive and fulfilling lives. This will ultimately be beneficial to all men, women and children.

PANdora's Box
The Secrecy of Child Sexual Abuse

Child Advocate and Health Care Consultant, Dr. Nancy Faulkner, advocates for the protection of children and prevention of child sexual abuse. Although not a survivor of abuse, Dr. Faulkner describes her commitment to protecting children as coming "from the tears and pain" of the many victims with whom she's worked.

Breaking The Silence

Founder, Linda Halliday-Sumner is a survivor of incest and other sexual assaults. She began in Campbell River, B.C. in 1980 with a self help group for adult survivors of historical childhood sexual abuse. This group, Sexual Abuse Victims Anonymous (S.AV.A.) rapidly expanded into providing other services such as public and professional education, court support and preparation, lectures, workshops, research, and much more. She has traveled and lectured extensively across Canada and is nationally recognized as an expert in this field.

Survivors Echoes dot Org

Welcome to Echoes, a site for survivors of sexual abuse and assault. Some visitors may remember Echoes from the three years it spent online at Ivillage. If you are a returning visitor, welcome back! If you are new, then welcome -- and I hope you find something at Echoes to help in your healing.

If you have been raped, assaulted, or abused, please remember IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. It doesn't matter where you were, what you wore, what you said, or what you did. If you need help right now, please call 1-800-656-HOPE.
You are not alone.
